When I was growing up, I took years of formal piano lessons. I learned how to read music, practiced scales, and prepared for recitals - but over time, the process started to feel rigid and disconnected from the music I actually loved. Eventually, I picked up an acoustic guitar and started lessons with a teacher who did something completely different.

That’s when it clicked.

Instead of handing me a method book, he’d ask, “What have you been listening to?” We’d scroll through my iPod, pick a song, and learn some version of it right there in the lesson.

That shift changed everything. I practiced more. I progressed faster. Music felt exciting again. That experience planted the seed for what would eventually become Loop Music Academy…

Loop Guitar Launchpad

Our song-first beginner guitar program. Students are placed in small cohorts based on age so they learn, grow, and perform alongside kids at a similar stage and maturity level.

Ages 5–7

Launchpad Juniors

Play-based rhythm work, simplified chord shapes, and real songs adapted for young beginners. Focused on confidence and musical foundations.

Ages 8–10

Launchpad Core

Structured beginner curriculum with real songs, chord progressions, technique building, and group performance elements.

Ages 11–14

Launchpad Advanced Beginners

Faster-paced fundamentals, power chords, riffs, and band-style collaboration to build independence and stage readiness.
